DISNEY WORLD: Creating C4D Shooting Stars!

Change  4  a  Dollar  prides  ourselves  in  pairing  students  with  opportunities  to  experience and  participate  in  various  events  that  are  not  regularly  offered  through  a  typical  school curriculum.  We  strive  to  get  them  to  go  above  and  beyond  in  the  classroom,  we  also  try  to expose  them  to  as  many  new  experiences  as  possible.

As part  of  our  C4D  Athletics  program, Change 4 a Dollar participates in the annual Small Fry Basketball Tournament that is held every spring  in  Disney  World.

This  event  occurs  on  an  International  level,  and  allows  students  from different countries to connect with one another through a love of sports. Our athletes are able to interact with children their own ages, from countries as far as the Caribbean and South America, to  learn  about  the  differences  and  similarities  that  other  student  athletes  experience  in  their everyday lives.

We  begin  scouting  in  the  Fall  for  boys  and  girls  all  throughout  Philadelphia  to  join  our Basketball  team,  the Moguls,  and  our Cheer  team,  the  Lady Moguls.  To  prepare  for  the Tournament, our athletes keep a diligent practice schedule, while competing against other youth teams  throughout the  Tri-state.  Along  with  the  physical benefits  of  joining  a  sports team,  there are many personal skills to be gained, as well. These include improving self-esteem, developing self-discipline, and building character.
