After School Program
The Empty Pockets Initiative
Banking/Savings in Schools Initiative
Health and Wealth Initiative
Goal: This is a highly selective mentoring program for high school students that provides them with the opportunity to develop marketable skills in a work setting to help build professional-world readiness.
Pocket Change is a program that allows high school students to develop leadership skills, an education in financial literacy, and gain real world experience. The program allows students to put their classroom education to practice by helping them find a job in an area of interest.
Our students will gain the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in college and employment, while allowing them to develop their work ethic and leadership skills. In order for students to fully understand the importance of financial literacy, throughout the program, they are given a stipend to be saved and put towards a college fund.
Students not only receive monetary benefits, but gain experience to put them ahead of their classmates and are better prepared for life after high school in a competitive job market.
